The adjoining town of Villanueva De Algaidas is larger and has a full range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, banks, chemists, and has a street market each Friday. Nearby is the town of Antequera with fashionable shops, bars, restaurants and its many buildings of historic interest.
Iznajar is only a short drive away with its ancient Moorish castle overlooking the lake of Andalucia.
El Cortijuelo is perfectly situated for easy touring access of the provinces of Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Jaen and Seville.
